Making the Best Decisions for Research and All Patients

Drawing on diverse expertise, listening to multiple perspectives, encouraging and championing the most innovative ideas: ARC Foundation's unique model is built on harmonious, collaborative leadership wholly dedicated to our mission.

270 volunteer members contribute to the governance of our foundation, working alongside a team of nearly 60 staff members in the fight against cancer.

Our Governance Philosophy

  • Donations Inspire Accountability
Our work is built entirely on charitable giving, and we never lose sight of this. The primary objective of our governance is to transform the generosity of donors and legators into meaningful action for research and patients.
  • Encouraging Open Dialogue
Listening to all viewpoints and welcoming diverse perspectives: our collaborative structure is designed to foster exchange, enable constructive debate and arrive at the best possible decisions. Collective intelligence advances research.
  • Science Comes First
Our scientific priorities evolve alongside new advances and emerging challenges. To make the most effective strategic choices in the fight against cancer, our governance relies on our Scientific Advisory Board, which identifies the most promising projects and ensures the relevance of funded research.

Key Question: How does ARC Foundation ensure donations and legacies are used appropriately?

Through external audits and annual certification by independent auditors. Furthermore, ARC Foundation has been a member of the Comité de la Charte du Don en Confiance (the French Responsible Giving Charter Committee) since 1999. This accreditationawarded by a non-profit organisation, is an essential guarantee in France for safeguarding donors' and legacy donors' contributions. Since that date, the Foundation has successfully renewed its accreditation every year.
