The essential question: what exactly is a foundation?
A foundation is a charitable organisation established by one or more private donors to serve a cause of public interest on a not-for-profit basis. The ARC Foundation for Cancer Research was created in 2012 through a statutory evolution of the Association for Cancer Research (ARC), itself The ARC Foundation for Cancer Research was born out of a change in the statutes of the’1962(ARC) established in 1962.
