The essential question: what exactly is a foundation?
A foundation is a charitable organisation established by one or more private donors to serve a cause of public interest on a not-for-profit basis. The ARC Foundation for Cancer Research was created through a statutory evolution of the Association for Cancer Research (ARC), founded in 1962. Today, we continue that legacy with an unwavering commitment to funding the research that will one day defeat cancer. The ARC Foundation for Cancer Research was born out of a change in the statutes of the’Association for Cancer Research(ARC) established in 1962.
