How much money is allocated to cancer research thanks to donations and legacies?
In 2025, over 33.7 million was allocated to research projects that offer real hope for patients. Every pound donated goes towards funding groundbreaking science.
Where does the money from donations and legacies go?
More than three-quarters of all funds go directly towards cancer research—covering all types of cancer, from the most common to the rarest., all cancers. The most common as well as the rarest. In 2025, this is how funds raised by the ARC Foundation were used:
- Social missions (promising research programmes and information for the public and healthcare professionals): 74.5 %
- Fundraising: 19.3 1Q3Q
- Operating expenses and costs: 6.2 %
How many research projects are supported each year?
In 2025, 403 research projects were supported thanks to the funds raised by Fondation ARC. Each project brings us one step closer to beating cancer.
What are the main areas of scientific spending?
In 2025, the Foundation allocated over €33.7 million to cancer research, distributed according to the following priorities:
- Support for talent: 30 %
- Basic research: 29 %
- Innovation transfer: 3 %
- Precision Medicine 8 %
- Immunotherapy: 13 %
- Priority areas (Pancreatic cancer, Cancer and ageing): 16 %
- Others areas: 1 %
How many donors support cancer research through the Fondation ARC ?
In 2025, 161,000 chose Fondation ARC to support cancer research. We are incredibly grateful for every single contribution.
How does Fondation ARC ensure donations and legacies are used properly?
Through external audits and annual certification by independent auditors. Furthermore, Fondation ARC has been a member of Don en Confiance(the French equivalent of the Fundraising Regulator) since 1999. We have renewed our accreditation every year since then, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
