Recruiting international leaders in oncology from USA 2025

Given the impact of the current context on research in the United States, the Fondation ARC is deploying additional resources to support affected researchers. This call for proposals (CFP) is exclusively dedicated to top tier researchers currently based in the USA or those who can show proof of an advanced project of setting up their team in the USA, to help them establish their teams in France by the end of 2026.

Projects must be in line with the ARC Fondation’s scientific strategy for accelerating discoveries, developing new treatments, preventive and therapeutic approaches in the field of oncology.

The Host institutions are expected to play a central role in the success of the selected candidates. They must demonstrate strong, long-term commitments to ensure optimal working conditions and full integration of the research team within their structure.

The « Recruiting International Leaders in Oncology From USA » call targets are top-tier researchers recognised for their scientific career and world-class quality, their ability to establish and manage their own team and to conduct their research project independently.

• Candidates must have defended their Doctoral thesis (PhD) for more than 10 years  at the expected decision by the Board of Directors of the Fondation ARC (June 2025 for session 1, October 2025 for session 2 and December 2025 for session 3);

• The candidates chosen by the research structure must hold a position in an American research structure by April 2025 or can provide proof of an advanced project to settle in the United States that is now compromised.
